Well I managed to have a no spend weekend, Monday AND today!!!

Had the luxury of not working on Saturday or Sunday so DD was at home all weekend which was lovely. Went for a wander round town on Saturday when she finished dancing. Didn't take my purse so I wouldn't be tempted to buy anything! Sunday we stayed in all day and watched a bit of cbeebies and played silly games - lots of fun! I made a massive lasgane which has provided lunch for this week.

Continuing my mission of clearing the freezer while OH is on tour (which is going very well!) and sorting out all my clothes and shoes so he has space to move into! Got loads of stuff to put on ebay so that can be my job for Saturday while DD is at dancing.

The only sour note is that British Gas phoned me yesterday to say that they'd miscalculated my repayments so I've got until January on the high rates. Why they're so incapable of doing things right I don't know. Can't wait to be able to switch (providing it's cheaper obviously!)!!!

Whew! had a very busy few days! OH came back from his tour on Friday - I was soooo happy to have him back home! :j

Been doing pretty well with the money. Stayed in all weekend when I wasn't working so managed to spend about £2 on milk and bread! Also threw a bunch of extra money at my Barclays debt and Mint card. Sticking to the scheduled payments for the next couple of months though to be able to cope with Christmas.

Bit of bad news though - failed my driving test yesterday  - mainly on things that another examiner might have let go! never mind, I'll just have to make sure I do it right next time!

Get paid on Friday so starting my NSD count from then and starting mine and OH's new budget. In a way, I'm quite excited about it!

Well it was payday today instead which was unexpected! Will pay the nursery fees tomorrow then wait until Monday for all the direct debits to go out so I know what I'm left with.

Had a successful NSD so far but I've a feeling I've forgotten something that I did need to buy... I'm aiming for 15 NSD's in November - I'm doing NaNoWriMo so that should help as all my spare time will be taken up writing! In theory anyway

I am having a night out tomorrow but it will mainly be spent in the pub where I work (cheap and free drinks!) and then in a club where I get staff discount for working in the pub! Have a set budget though including taxi home (the shoes I'll be wearing won't allow for much walking!!!) and am leaving the cash card at home so there's no temptation to spend more.

Must remember to pay the nursery fees tomorrow too!

Ugh. I hate this time of month - all the direct debits have gone out and my account looks very sorry for itself. Still on the plus side at least everything's paid!!! :j

Had a fab night out on Friday and managed to come home with money - not quite sure how as I was fairly tipsy and stopped at Subway before getting a cab! Saturday was fairly uneventful - watched a couple of films in the afternoon before going to work for what felt like the longest shift ever.

Spent yesterday cooking and baking - stew, muffins, flapjack! Felt very domesticated and only needed to spend £2.38 on extra ingredients!

Had my first NSD of the month today. Hoping for 19 more though I'll be happy with 15. I've started my NaNoWriMo challenge so I doubt I'll get much time to spend money anyway. Got to find time to list a load of ebay items too - I seem to have a rather large collection of evening dresses which can go to much better homes and make me some money rather than hanging around looking pretty!

    Hiya

You sound just like me! I too always wear shoes that don't allow for walking!!

Just thought I'd share that I had a fab night on Saturday - and stuck to my budget!! Spent all afternoon getting ready, did my own manicure and pedicure - saving money - and my own hair! I have to admit I don't think anybody thought any the less of me!

And in last year's YSL shoes - I still felt glam!

    YSL shoes?! Colour me jealous!!!

I do have a silly number of shoes I can't actually do a lot of walking in - though they really are designed for standing or sitting in looking pretty! I felt I had to wear them all night though as they were my birthday present from OH - I did sneak my flats on at the end of the night though :D!

Oh for the Louboutins..... OH is taking me to Paris at the beginning of December. I might allow myself to try some on in his original shop then I'll have to run away quickly before I'm tempted to buy any!

Well it's the first week of us both being on our budget of £30 a week. I'm doing fairly well so far - have £23.64 left! Had to buy some make up and treated myself to a bottle of wine as it was a fairly good one for half price!

Still not booked another driving test yet. At the moment it looks like I won't be able to get one until after I get back from Paris which would at least give me some time to feel prepared for it.
