I've had my eyes tested today and was given a new prescription.
The optician has indicated my Sph for distance, but has just but a line through both the Cyl and Axis. Is this normal or should there be a value for these boxes?
Also any suggestions for cheapish but stylish online outlets would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance.

There's a thread on this site if you search for it. However, one from the site that I used and found helpful is:
http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/
The prices were about the norm for online sites."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0 -
Thanks crossley, nice site.
Still unsure about the Cyl/Axis thing though.0 -
These matters are to do with the shape of your eye, it would seem.
Glasses Direct say this on their website:
"If you have any difficulty or cannot read your prescription.... then we can help you! You can call 0871 42 500 42 to be talked through the prescription details..."
Why not ring them and discuss it with them? You'l know then whether it matters and, if so, to go back."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0
