Nationwide Existing Customer question?

I have a mortgage with Nationwide and I hope to get a new deal with them in the next few week's, but when an existing customer applies for a new deal do they still need a valuation done etc?

Thanks

When renewing with nationwide it the past - they have not asked for the valuation to be re-done.

However, this doesnt mean that they wont ask this time around

I'm also with Nationwide, and when I called to enquire about re-mortgaging last week (having seen their customer loyalty deal on the website and been with them for years) they insisted I go down the additional borrowing route (I need to raise a little capital from equity) and when I said I wasn't happy increasing my monthly payments (which that would have) and that I actually want to remortgage they refused to consider me.. me their current customer that has never missed a payment. :)

My LTV is around 60% as well, couldn't understand it... suspect they must have specific criteria for existing customers to remortgage... regardless of that, they'll lose my business now. :/
  • On this subject, do they do all the same checks as per a new application or just internal checks?
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice
