I failed an IVA last year for some debts totalling 52K. Repayments were 550 per month and i couldnt meet them. Heard nothing from the creditors until last week when a couple got in touch at my new address. Demanding payment now. what do i do? they are chasing 6000k. The other havent been in touch but i assume only a matter of time. do i go bankrupt or will they make me bankrupt. I live in rented accomodatin with no assetts. The flat is fully furnished but nothing is mine and they have told me the baliffs are coming. not sleeping well! can anyone advise?

Why are they chasing you for £600,000 from an initial debt of £52,000?0 -
I think that was just a typo for 6k.
Do not let bailiffs into your flat and make sure all windows and doors are locked so they can't gain "peaceful entry". Have you tried to write to the company chasing the debt to try to make repayment arrangements? After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110
