Aol has released some software powered by mcafee to protect their aol users.

I belive you MUST me a aol member to get this software. It does firewall-antivirus-antispyware the lot.

It is in Beta and is not the final product.

Why is it that these links change when you click them. They have the same charactoristics as affiliate links.

Rex, I think you are mistaken, these are not affiliate links in any way. I am an AOL member and those links take you to exactly where the OP has stated. It seems like they only work if you are on AOL. HTH. :T

Harsh how come you reported me!

IT MAY NOT WORK BECAUSE YOU NEED TO BE SIGNED IN ON AOL EMAIL TO VIEW IT.

That's a load of ****. If you click a link, if it is a straight link it will take you to the page that is posted/published. When a link changes after you click it, it is a good sign of redirection (which covers what affiliate links do).

You have posted refferal/affiliate links in the past that I have reported to abuse. Why should I think that you have turned over a new leaf now (and believe me when I say that I will watch your posts for future possible breaches).

if it is anything like AOL's main software I would'nt touch it with a bargepole.....their stuff makes so many changes to Windows it's nigh on impossible to remove it when you want to

I understand that the link changes but all ive done is copied and paste it out of my explorer I think that it changes because its checking you are logged in heres the beta central site.

Just click on aol safety a security and look at the link and it will be exactly the same one as i posted.
