Contents insurance - help

OK, I am trying to get contents/possessions insurance (I rent so don't need building cover). The best quote so far is my renewal quote from Endsleigh - £95 for the year. This is for only £8,000 of cover with 5 years' no claims!! I must be able to do better than this. I've come across people who got B&C together for less.

Anyone able to recommend a good company/broker?

Thanks.

I pay approx £12 a month, contents only, with the AA - what were you paying before the renewal quote?

Try going via Quidco - I renewed my contents for £92.93 (for £20,000 cover) with Lloyds - get £50 cashback(if it turns up) so £42.93

I agree with 100points you should be able to get the contents for much less using Quidco - Endsleigh will be on there too - you just have to wait a while to go get the money back into your account.

Thanks for all the replies. Are you all in NI and are any of you renters? I'm in BT9, is that considered a high risk postcode?

    Must get searching again...
  • I live in the ballymena area, i rent and my insurance is £60 a year with legal and general.
  • Tesco are doing £50 cashback at the mo. Looks ok, would you trust them to send the cheque?
