I have recently retired (august ) and have received one payment from my company pension, with the current upheaval in the money markets how safe is my future payments ?

If your pension is from a company final salary scheme and paid direct from the company pension fund, it depends (as ever) on
- how well (and prudently) funded the scheme is
- how suitably invested
- how able the company is to make up any current or future shortfall in funds that might arise (strength of company)
- etc

Even though this is only a general template, it's a good clear read and gives you an idea of some of the general issues. There is now a Pension Protection Fund that will take over payments for members of insolvent schemes/companies as you'll see in the attachment.

Final salary company pensions in payment are protected from loss up to around 25k p.a. IIRC under the pension Protection Fund.Trying to keep it simple...0
