Hi,
I am considering going through a debt repayment plan, but I have some questions and was wondering whether there was anyone who could answer them. I have a car and am meeting the repayments, if I went on a repayment plan would I be able to keep up the car payments? I need my car for work and figure that even if the rest of my credit rating is bad, at least I will have a record of payments I have kept.
Could someone tell me if this is possible?
Thanks

Hi
I have a DMP with Payplan and I would think that if that payment is factored into your initial outgoings then you should be able to continue. As you use the car as a mean to get to work etc, if you didnt have it this could effect your employment hence how you repay your debts. Worthwhile asking CCC or the UK Debt line offer a wealth of info, Ive used them quite a lot they are quite reassuring,...
hope this helps0 -
we have just joined cccs and the car comes under the priority list so yes you should be able to keep up with the normal payments if its possible but depends on your income.0

if you do the cccs debt questionnaire after inputting everything in it then tells you the new budget ...it makes interesting reading

I believe that you would be able to keep the car as I don't think your car payments would be included in the CCCS dmp as it would be considered a secured loan (like a mortgage) and only unsecured debts are included in the dmp. You will need to make sure that you can keep up the repayments though.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
