have you got to be a teacher to book it?

If you truly are a home educator then it is OK to book it yourself. I imagine they may check out to see if applicants are genuine somehow?

I'm a Home Edder and I booked online and have been successful without any problems at all. They didn't ask for any proof of our Home Ed status. Presumably they decided that as it's in school hours, we must be for real- or can face any consequences ourselves! Soooo... we're off to see 'Be Kind Rewind on the 22nd.
Mind you, it pays to read the small print. If you don't show up on the day or cancel later than a week ahead, you have to pay a £50 fee!

  • Hi,

we home educate and have got free cinema for the past 4 years. Weve never had any trouble booking online, (just put 'home educators' in the school box).....and have found that often getting just 3 seats is extremely easy, because they can always slot us in!

thanks for sharing this with everyone, im trying to spread the word through all the home edders i meet!

How do you enter the details for home ed. It's asking for school address, do you just put your address instead?

I work in a childrens home and a couple of the new kids are awaiting paperwork until they start at a new school and so we are working with them in the home until the paperwork comes through (a few weeks yet!)

Do you think we would be able to apply?
  • You can ring but there are very few places left now.

You will get a confirmation letter in the post with all the details. Mine took a week. Do not forget to attend if you book as there is a cancellation fee for no shows!
