Are you on any benefits? If so, you might be able to get the insulation upgraded & some vents installed for your LL, at no cost to you or him.
Is Whizz the brand you find in pound shops? Get the proper stuff. Bleach is not enough. Try the dettol brand, but do read the instructions carefully, & wear mask, gloves & open the windows whilst using it.
Is your contents insurance covering your damaged goods?
You should also move all furniture away from the walls, especially the external ones. Not hugely, but an two inches or so, just enough to allow airflow behind them. If your clothes are in fitted wardrobes, try putting those disposable crystal dehumidifiers inside.0 -

I think whizz may be sold in poundshops, it's also sold at our local shop which is how I got that one. Checked the labels with a leading brand and it was the same stuff in it.
The furniture already is away from the walls by a couple of inches.
I've filled in the online thing for insulation though, is it warm front or something like that?If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0 -
is having to have windows open and heating on constantly not sufficient to breach this agreement, to allow OP to move on?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

            Buy the proper stuff...please

I've used it so many times before, & cannot recommend it enough. Only Dettol or HG will do.
Warmfront is one of the schemes. I think there are others. Also does your local council run a free handyperson scheme? They might be able to fit vents for you.
If you like the property & want to stay, you need to get your LL back onside. Letters from EH won't be helping your relationship
. Has he seen how bad the condensation problem is, & how it's affected your belongings, despite you doing everything you can to reduce the amount of moisture. Have you made him aware that it will also eventually affect his contents (carpets/cupboards/kitchen units/floor boards/joists) and thus the structure of his property?
In a ground floor flat it's not safe to leave your windows open 24/7. In any property it would probably invalidate your contents insurance too. Do you have windows that can be locked partially open? If not, again this is something you might be able to get a council handyperson to fit.0 -

NO - condensation is caused by lifestyle. Whilst some properties are more prone to it, they would not suffer if there was no-one living there (although in this case it does sound like the OP is trying to reduce the amount of moisture she produces
 )
If the EH is only suggesting the installation of more vents, it's not a structural issue.0 -

yes and we've since ended up with issues with the landlord (off to CAB this week
about it, don't want to say too much on a public forum IYKWIM) All I want is a place that I can live in properly without damage to me or my stuff and no matter what I do, it seems so unachieveable If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0 -
Private rented tenancy support office at the local council. They'll sort it out and will get env health involved if they need to.
Bad landlords need reporting.0 -

but this doesn't have to mean having the heating on full & all the windows fully open all of the time..
Imagine paying the gas bill that would result from that!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
