I'm not sure if Cookstown sausages are sold in the rest of the UK, so I've dropped the thread here in the N.Ireland section. Feel free to move it if the brand is sold elsewhere.
Cookstown thick sausages are £1 for 8 in Tescos, can't see it online, but it's instore. I've just got loaded up with a batch for the freezer. Ulster frys and bangers and mash, from now until Christmas.:D

I seen and advert for Walls sausages (8 for £1) on hotukdeals.com, but they are not in Tescos in N.Ireland as far as I can tell.0

I am reading a book, "An Irish Country Christmas", and have become interested in many of the things mentioned in it, particularly the sausages from Cookstown, Ireland. My husband and I definitely fancy trying things from different countries of the world and particularly Ireland as we have a bit of Irish heritage (and more than our share of Irish blarney). I have no knowledge if these sausages are able to be obtained in our country or whether they can legally be obtained from overseas, but I would like to purchase some if it is legal. I understand that there are many laws governing import of foods from other countries (and probably as well foods from the United States going to other countries). If anyone has information about this, I would appreciate whatever you can tell me...both about the sausages themselves and where they can be obtained, and also about the laws for bringing them into the United States (if they are not readily obtained in some market in the United States already). Thanking you in advance for any assistance,

Try Dunbia meats. They have offieces in Europe, and they might have one in the US

Is hard to beat a good butcher's sausage, in all honesty....0

The Cookstown sizzler is definitely the best0

I like a good butchers sausage from time to time, makes me feel healthier, but there's nothing like an aul Cookstown sizzler to wet the appetite. Don't like them Richmond sausages, pile of aul garbage thrown into them.0

mmmm 20% fat!
Richmond actually have less fat content but then they are full of rusk and wheat etc....0
