Wanted new ugg-type boots for the winter, but didn't want to pay for the expensive brand. I researched, and ordered Whooga boots, from Barratts with 20% off and 8% further through Quido - about £73 total for the tall classic style. So far so good.
While waiting for them to be delivered, I happened to be in Costco, and saw their own, Kirkland branded ugg-style boots, at a very competitive £36 inc VAT. I looked through the humungous pile, found my own size in an OK grey colour, and tried them on. Very impressed - thick soft sheepskin, good stitching, sturdy outsole etc. Bought them, knowing I could always return if not satisfied. I've had Dekker Uggs before, and they seemed just as good as those, first off.
The very next day, my Whooga boots arrived, so I could do a direct comparison. I can report that at about half the price, the Costco boots were markedly better than the Whoogas. The fleece was thicker and much softer, and felt heavier and more substantial was the biggest difference, but the overall feel of the Whooga was unimpressive and much more 'factory' produced than the Costco version, with heavy machine impressions on the sheepskin around the seams, and a unnatural perfection about the exterior and finishing. they also smelt strongly of chemicals. The other difference was that the Whooga leg-part was significantly narrower than the Costco one - but that might be an advantage for some.
I'll be returning the Whoogas - can't do a direct comparison with Dekker Uggs because my existing pair are very old indeed - but they didn't seem as good as those, either. However, I'd certainly recommend Costco ugg-type boots, if you're near a CostCo. At this price, it'd even be worth joining to get them0 -

Hi I am trying to find some Uggs in a UK size 9.5 (US 11) but the only place I can find any is on the Genuine Ugg website or Ebay. Does anyone know of any sites selling this size so that I could possibly get some with a discount code? Many thanks.0

Just to let everyone know that I managed to use the 20% off code on Yoyoego.com earlier today to get my girlfriend a pair of the Traditional Short Uggs.... however, check cashback too as Quidco are offering 8% cashback for yoyoego.com (i'm still kicking myself for not checking...).0
