I think I saw some on Brand Alley recently. I think they were under £100. It's a good site as they sell discounted stuff from decent brands.

John Lewis are too..only for today though! You can buy online too. I find Celtic Sheepskin just as good. They are handmade in Newquay and the company actually sold the UGG brand name to Deckers Outdoor corporation who manufacture the UGG Australia boots. The name UGG is a generic name for sheepskin boots. They are great boots, I have the Classic Celt boot and I think they personally look better than UGG Australia ones. They are a lot cheaper too.. www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk

    Hi Ladies,

I'm hoping someone can provide an insight into Uggs and their prices. You see, for the last two years, I have seen links on MSE that highlighted great deals on Uggs (via M+M and Very.....I think) - also got cashback en route
On seeing these deals, I decided to treat the wife as I know she wouldn't. I've got her standard short Uggs and Cardy uggs (both in Grey) and am pleased to say she has absolutely loved them.

The thing is, this year we are more financially challenged shall we say so am holding out for a bargain. The trouble is.....now we are in October, are there any retailers that are going to majorly slash the prices - have I missed the boat?

The wife is staying at a friends house oop north this week so would love to have them for her return early next week.

Any help/advice will be gratefully received,

    TND :)

PS just seen my post number is 666......oh

I don't see Uggs discounted that much year to year TBH, even in the sales. Sometimes if your very very lucky you do see something....then realise its in an obscure size or go to order and its sold out (funny, eh?- the sites seem to think that its some sort of a game as they even more rarely ever honor such deals).

Emus are supposed to be as good when it comes to quality but I'd strongly recommend getting them fitted as they will grow with wear-they all do, and also check they are tight to begin with. When I tried a pair on even in a smaller size to my own my feet still slipped at the heel as they were too broad. Fine if you don't mind slurping as you walk down the street but not something I was happy to live with! I also had issues with the heel on mine slipping over the base so again, check they are good to begin with as they would only get worse.

Maybe wait to see if stores offer the pre-Christmas 20% days as you could save a little but I still think Amazon have better prices then any highstreet stores I have seen.

In past years most of the discounts have been between now and Christmas. The best deals I have seen are from the more fashion boutique sort of stockist that will offer a limited time 30% discount on all their stock. That said, keep an eye on stockists such as Branch 309 (have some good offers right now, in the more unusual colours) and Javari, Amazon's 'shoe arm'.

No they are fakes. I have reported them - note that they have not put Ugg in the title as this would cause their listings to be pulled immediately. However they have made the mistake of putting it in the brand field, thereby committing an offence.
  • oh right brilliant thanks for letting me know,
I messaged them they said they were genuine and then that all their listings have been sold to one buyer as a bulk lot and they will have more for sale tomorrow??
thanks for letting me know again - means alot! x

do you happen to know the cheapest place to get the classic tall black genuine uggs from? x
