Applying for Credit reports is sooo annoying!!!

Hello Guys,

I have since applied for all 3 credit files and requesting 2 of them wasn't an issue. Equipfax and Experian.

Just received letter from Call Credit saying.......

"thank you for your recent request for a copy of your credit file.

Due to strict data protection principles, we require evidence that confirms your residence at your current and previous addresses.

unexpired full photo driving licence and counter part. Photo copies acceptable.

Current council tax demand dated within 3 months

Bank statement dated within 3 months

Credit Card statement dated within 3 months

Mortgage statement dated within 3 months

and last which makes me giggle......

Firearms certificated or shotgun licence!!!!

I do generally agree with data protection but out of the requirements i have only 1 document i can send them, which is my driving licence.

I cant send my bank statements as i have oppted for paperless billing and i do not have a credit card. I dont have a mortgage, i rent! And as for my council tax demand. The only one i have is dated more than 3 months ago and i dont recall ever receiving one within the last 3 months.....oh and not forgetting that i dont have a firearms certificate for shotgun licence. lol...:rotfl:

Any advice???

Are you on the electeral (momentary mental block on the spelling - lol) roll where you live now and were yu on at previous addresses?? If not then this could be the problem as they use this to verify your address.

Yeah, im on both the electoral roll for my current and past address.

I've never botheredwith Call Credit. From what I've seen from the free reports you can get from them, they're out of date and usually inaccurate.

Just stick with Experian and Equifax.
