Found Panasonic DVD Recorder at £125.00

Found a bargain at Richer Sounds (Croydon).

Saw the trade section at richer sounds's web site.
This is where you find ex-display/refurb products which they sell at a much lower price.

Saw the Panasonic DMR-E55 selling for £150 at some of their stores in london. Gave a call to the Croydon branch and asked if they had it in stock. They said that they had a room full of ex-display/refurb products and that I should visit their shop to see what they had at any time.

During my chat with them on the phone, I realised that not all their ex-display/refurb products are listed on their website's trade section.

So I asked if they could tell me which all ex-display/refurb DVD recorders they had in stock and at what price. Was pleased and surprised when they told me that they had the Panasonic DMR-E50 at £125, and it had the remote as well.

Reserved it for me at that price and got it the very next day.

Must say that the recording picture quality is excellent.

Oddly, when I went to their shop to get it, they had it listed at £199.99 with a small sticker on it saying 'Reserved for xxxxx at £125'. The person on the payment counter was quite furious at the staff, but honoured the deal and let me buy it.

So, it may be a good idea to check some of Richer Sounds stores for what they have in their ex-display/refurb section as you may find a bargain there.

Have Fun.

Couple of things regarding Richer Sounds ....

They ARE good on low prices - but STILL double check, then take advantage of their Price Beat, policy - it works!! Quite often they're MORE expensive, initially. Depends on how much of an old model. the item is, you want.

I always thought the REALLY cheap stock, was sold only to traders - 'cos it was factory returns & quite likely, faulty.

If they've started another section, to sell to retail customers, I'd be wary, if I was either in their shoes - or a customer!

Much prefer to have a NEW toy, then if packs up - at least I know it wasn't already duff!If that makes sense!!
