Slightly off topic but wondered if someone could tell me how long before your current mortgage deal ends can you secure another? Just a bit worried about where we stand when our deal finishes.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

minimike2 - are you still there - can you help with this?

HMS.
It depends which lender you are with. Its normal to look to secure a new deal up to three months before the end of your deal, however some lenders will not offer you new deals now until 30 days before your deal expires....making it much harder to shop about and get a new deal in place...you should always check what your current lender offers and compare that to the rest of the market.
With Nationwide, you can book a deal 6 months before you apply, then get a 3 month mortgage offer, giving you 9 months, but of course you are banking on rates not going down in that time.0 -

Some arrangement fees are £1000 as you quote but as you know the vast majority are far less than that, there goes the scare tactics again!
Please tell me what mortgage sourcing software you are using ?
On my research software, £1000 is the norm for the greedy lenders these days.I am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
