How many times your salary could I get with my partner?

These are typical FTB questions, and it shows that you would really benefit from the hand holding of a whole of market adviser

A "best deal" will not only depend on your personal circumstances, but also on what flexibility you want from the mortgage.

So what might be best for one person may be totally unsuitable for you.

A rule of thumb on what you can borrow is 4 times your joint income - some will lend you more and other less. What you can borrow will be affected by things like your credit history, deposit available, other debts you may have.

An adviser would spend the time to gather information about you, and then come back with a recommendation based on what you can get and what you are looking for
