Self Employed Option But have Debts. Help needed Please.

Hi everyone, not too sure what forum to post in as my problem is a bit of everything.
I have been working in a branch for 16 hours a week. As I am a single mum with 2 young children, I also get working tax and child tax credit.
The company I work for has given me the option to do the same job at home but obviously, I will then be self employed. I am not too worried about the self employed part of it as far as the job goes, because it is a job that I have done for 30 years so I am confident in my ability. What worries me is that I do have debts on credit cards and loans which I have got under control but I need to remortgage in April to get away from this dreadful 8.9% rate I am on.
With my debts and being self employed, I am worried that it will make getting a mortgage even harder than if I stayed where I was in the branch.
Potentially, i can earn more homeworking but initially on paper it probably will not look too fantastic. Also being the only earner in the house worries me, even thought i would still get the tax credits.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thank you.

Hiya
When my OH was self employed we were told that we would need 3 years audited accounts before being able to remortgage.
Would there be any possibility of you being able to remortgage sooner rather than later and try to get that done before taking up working from home?
Hope everything works out well for you.
Take care,

or why don't you remortgage in April then start working from home?, tell your boss you are keen on the idea but can't do it until April, would that be feasible?Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
