OUSBA is the Open University's credit dept who provide fixed term loans for courses. They credit check you (through Experian). I'm just wondering if anyone has an OUSBA loan. Does it report to the CRAs? What does it report as - unsecured loan? Many thanks.

Hi, its not actually a loan they give you but just a credit account which they charge the cost of the course to and set repayments each month. Yes it does appear on your credit file like any other credit you take on, it just reports as OUSBAAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

Thanks.
Well it is a loan really, isn't it? It is not revolving credit. They lend you a fixed sum by paying your course fees on your behalf and you repay it by installments... so just like a car loan or personal loan really?0
