Me & my partner have a lot of debt. We are out of the almost losing house stage and have decided never to have anything on credit angain unless a real emergency!
The problem we have is we still waste money. We never seem to pay anything off?? This is a great website but there is so much information im not sure where to start and what everything means?
Due to remortage & secured loans etc we now have £28000 unsecured at £300 a month over 30yrs. Cant find any one to help us get a better rate does anyone have any ideas??
We also need to save for things in the house - ie boiler on brink so our gas/electric bills are sky high.
I have started this week to loook at the weekly shop and cut right back making meals from scratch. Made my own bread so am going in the right direction.
Help help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks x

Hi and welcome.
Please use the link above to produce a SOA. If you pay for things yearly then divide them by 12 and include them anyway. Please try and account for everything even if it just approximate figures. If you start a spending diary as well this will show you exactly what is spent in each area so next month you SOA soending will be exact.
People will then look at your SOA and suggest ways of cutting depending on your house size.
Well done for posting0
