the rrp is rather dodgy. We bought two of these on BOGOF for £44 from debenhams during their sale recently.
Can anyone confirm the quality of this set? I've seen some really poor porcelain over the years.

Also, if this heavy or light - can't stand the light stuff, it's like eating off plastic plates.

    Thanks. :)

  • to bham-dave jst found this review on amazon, dunno if helpful

This dinner set represents fantastic value at just over 1 pound per item! It is simple yet smart and extremely practical, each item has a nice weight and is neither too heavy nor too fragile. It comes boxed so therefore would make an ideal gift.

Thanks I also ordered after looking out for some bargain plates for a while. So posh, cant wait we currently have a mish mash of chipped over dishwashered ex carboot sale mis matches and a hideous load of old plstic crackled ones from when the kids were toddlers.
They might turn me into some sort of domestic goddess laying the table for breakfast etc!
  • Thanks hesjane, have ordered - code worked great!

Seems i've had loads of bargains over this past week from grabbits! :T
What with hotel rooms, books & boots glitches :o Hehe, I love this site :blushing:

My set came today, so a nice quick delivery.

Not that impressed by the set though - they're nothing special.

Very annoyed in that not one of the plates or side plates has a flat base, so they rock when placed on a table. One of the plates also had a very ugly bump in the middle of the plate. I'd check yours too if you're keeping it for a gift.

Thankfully no powder or chips in the glaze.

Colour is a duller white than the photo, but not what I'd call off-white.

Weight of the items was OK though.

Overall, you get what you pay for.

I pretty much agree with everything you've said here (though I've just checked mine and thankfully they're all nice and flat).

Nice quick delivery, can't fault them there.

A decent enough (for the price) every day set, but nothing special. I wouldn't have wanted to pay any more than I did for it :)

Did you know Royal Daulton also have their brand name on a plastic kettle?

A brand being devalued by over exposure or what.

I have ordered a couple as replacements for everyday use, my son keeps breaking our plates, and these are as cheap as the cheap ish half decent ones you get from elsewhere.

Don't forget if you buy and you don't like you can return within 7 days of receipt so nothing much is lost.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
