Family Photos - I saved £2500

I recently went to Venture to have some photos taken of me and my family. When I went back to buy a few prints, they were looking to charge me around £3000!!!!! I knew they were expensive, but didn't realise that they really suggest you take out a loan to pay for the pictures!!!
Instead of buying any from them, I had a search around and found a place in London that does a family (or individual) photo sitting where you can get 10 big prints (10"x8") and a CD of all your pictures for jus £160. I've had the photos taken and they are even better than the pictures taken at Venture. The whole experience was far more relaxing and pleasant at the Casting Suite in London. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone as I feel Venture is a bit of a con.
You need to speak to Caroline and the number is 020 7534 5757 - she's really lovely and helpful. :A

Thats well out of order, its not as if OP was 'selling' Venture to us.0 -

Hardly critical, just stating a fact. I thought the idea was to highlight a good deal which the OP has done. Whats the difference between that and saying xxx is cheaper at Asda than at Tesco?
It hardly reads as if the OP is plugging their own business.
As it happens, it looks a good deal to me.0 -
Its very suspicious for first posts to be both on the same lines xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0

I was jumping between the two posts the OP had made. Always get a bit suspicious when an new member immediately plugs a small shop or website. However when jumping between posts did not spot that the mention of the new shop was only in the second post and not both.
There I would now go with the had a need, looked for a solution, found one and posted about it. In which case it does look a good deal if you live nearby.
Personally I have never had a problem with Venture as long as you stick with the knowledge that just take the offer deal and don't get tempted by the other photos0 -
Top marks to Dinglebert for saying you made a mistake, same cant be said for Toniq.
The OP asked about a company that they then went to but found the prints expensive so they go elsewhere and much cheaper, whats suspicious about that and sharing a good deal?
No wonder newbies dont hang around. On here is getting like the high street, the big boys (high volume posters) are forcing out the little players (newbies).0 -
i made my own judgement, i wasnt being rude to the op, and my post count has nothing to do with this , and i am entitled to a view x
Ive gone out of my way more than once to help a new poster so its u making the judgements x
im not getting into a slanging match x#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
We found the same sort of deal with a local photographer. A free 10x8 and CD of 75 images for £120. I have used cheap deals with Snapfish and Photobox to get the photos printed - and now have mugs and 20x30 poster prints as well!
I used "Timeless Images" of Bridgwater. http://www.timelessimagesphotos.co.uk/_portraits.html"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
