hi everyone just thought id update you all with whats been happening,i recieved 2 letters on friday from natwest,1 re loan and 1 re overdraft, again asking me to contact them to discuss the matter before 8th october,if not they will send debt collectors to my home,as you may already know i have tried to discuss with them,so decided to ring and try again.
i was told they couldnt help me as payments they wanted were unaffordable to me and that by next fri it would have been sent to there debt recovery department who will then make arrangements to pay back the debt, the guy was very helpful and said this was the best route for my debt,i asked im about people turning up at my home and he said that that would not happen unless i fail to discuss and try to come toa n arrangement with debt recovery and people turning up at my door is a long way down the line.IS HE BEING HONEST WITH ME? i also asked him about the cifas fraud marker on my credit file and he told me when ive set up regular payments to repay the debt it will be remove,he also gave me a number and suggested i phone them before account goes to them as this shows im willing to sort this mess out.DOES ANYONE HAVE DEALINGS WITH NATWEST RECOVERY?
Thanks agin guys for all your support xx

Hi
I had a situation where natwest withdrew my overdraft and closed my account. They let me take out my wages for the month that had just been paid and they were happy to accept my offer of £100 p/m to repay my £3000 od. I didn't keep up these payments and so they passed it to a debt company who demanded much more than that. I would say speak to them and offer an amount you can afford and stick to it and you wont have any problems. It really wasn't as bad a it seemed.0 -
Petal - just to make sure you're covered, i'd write to the bank and request confirmation of what will happen to the CIFAS marker on your file as you have been advised that it will be removed when a repayment plan has been set up.
If anyone does come to your door, you can just tell them to go away. They have no legal powers at all - same as the paperboy. If they refuse then they are trespassing and you can get the police to remove them. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
