Got my first bank acc in 6 yrs!!

Wahey... Finally started on the road to being debt-free, just received a letter from CitiBank provisionally approving me as long as I send of my utility bill! Me with a debit card, the first time in 6yrs!! Cant believe it, today is a good day!!

    Do you have to pay a monthly fee to citibank?

    Have you tried the Co-op Cashminder account? They offer phone and internet banking, DD's and SO's, you get an Electron card, you can use any cash machine, you can deposit money and cheques using the Post Office. Might be worth giving them a ring.

    No there is no monthly charge; I opted for just the access account over the 'plus', so no 10pound a mth!! Feels like I'm part of society again...
