The 360's have been showing up again both here and in the US. It now appears, Microsoft were indeed trying to create hype as well as there being genuine shortages.

Here we go. Microsoft was creating the hype. Was it Microsoft or the media creating the hype?

What about when the PSP was launched here? It was stil out of stock and are still a bit difficult to find still. How come no-one said Sony are creating stories to notch up demand?

People buy items because they like it and not because just it is out of stock.

How would the thinking go if people though,'Hmm, it's out of stock so I will buy it even though I don't need it next time it comes in stick?'

this may sound funny but i'm rapidly losing interest in the whole bloody thing!

also lost track of where i have preorders - probably end up with loads of the buggers after christmas!

Me too - my daughter all year originally wanted the PS3 - but because the launch date hasn't been confirmed (sometime next year - or the next!!!) only decided at the beginning of Oct that she would like the 360. Pre-ordered but let down and since seemed to spend every evening and the hour before work scouring every internet site going looking for one - and it's slowly driving me insane.

I worked it out this morning if all the orders I've placed everywhere come through I probably owe about £2k!!!!! - Although I'm loathed to cancel any until I know one will turn up (and preferably the full system not the core! - not that I'm being picky or anything - lol).
