Anyway, thanks to the peeps who posted links to where we could get the XBox 360s from.
It's not hearsay, it's information that has come directly from MS itself and is freely available to all MS staff. Which part of that are you finding difficult to understand?0 -

Fact: I know that what I have said on here is the truth. I posted to be helpful, so that people will know there is still some chance of getting an xbox before Christmas
I'm normally optimistic and I'd love to believe what you've written - but after pre-ordering and let down by Asda and then nearly having the Comet order through from last Friday to being let down again - I'll only believe it when those desperate parents (me included) have that pressie wrapped up and see that big smile on their kids face on xmas day.0 -
Well how come people didn't have a go at Sony when their PS2 slimline was out of stock last year and the PSP out of stock when they launched here?
I don't see any one complaining. As there is no-one from Microsoft to comment, I think it is not fair to blame Microsoft. AS with all things new, its an issue of supply and demand. I don't think Microsoft would like hanging around if the Sony Ps3 is due to be launched soon anyway. That way they will lose customers.
And about facts, if only I can find the website where the Chairman of Microsoft UK said they are trying their best to get more consoles in but there is only so much they can do. An example is there were only 50,000 consoles available at launch but on Monday that figure stood at 75,000 sold. So over the weekend they sold 25,000 consoles. Now if they managed to ship in 25,000 consoles over the weekend, who says they are not doing a good job?
Here is something from theBBC website:
"The Xbox 360 went on sale in the UK on 2 December, selling an estimated 75,000 units over the weekend, according to sales analysts ChartTrack"0 -

My sentiments exactly! At least MS didn't treat us as third rate citizens, launching in the US then Japan the Europe lastly. They went for a (almost) simultaneous launch!
Good on you J Allard!Waddle you do eh?0 -

as much as i'd like to believe that microsoft really gives a monkeys, id say the reason why there was a simultaneous worldwide launch was to hit as many markets as possible before christmas, not out of some new found respect for us in europe.0 -

no but i've spent this last 20 years dealing with microsofts products in the last market they chose to dominate - pc's - and some of the dross they have served up as a working product, restrictive practices they have applied, competitors they have crushed, and law suits they have faced...
microsoft care only about market domination, i suggest you read up on them.0 -
