Have done this to myself also before. Bit like you, wondered why I was getting a card waved at me.:o
My best one for 'losing' a debit card is to leave my card in one of the supermarket reader things. Done this a few times in a rush only to get a cashier stop me in my tracks.
But must be commen as I have picked out a few cards out of these readers myself and handed to shop staff. :AThe more I live, the more I learn.
