I'm so confused!

So after serious problems with NPower i started the transfer over to British Gas, NPower are taking 70% of the money i top my meter up with and then 30p a day afterwards, i'm on benefits with a small child and can't have my heating on because i can't afford gas. British Gas have written to me this morning and said that they can take over the debt i have with NPower, will i be paying it back at the same rate does anyone know? Seems pointless moving if i'm still going to be without gas, if they took say £3.50 a week which is the maximum they can take then i'd be ok. Can anyone help?

If BG have agreed to take over the debt, can't you ask BG the terms that they would want the debt repaid? Then you'll be certain of getting the correct answer for your partiicular case."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
