Bank contributing to credit rating - good thing?

Folks :-
My other half has in the past run up some bad debts with other companies, (which are gradually getting sorted out), but in the mean time she has a rotten credit rating.

She has banked with Abbey for over 20 years. The bank has written to her offering to make her details available to credit reference agencies. She is consistently using her agreed overdraft, but otherwise the account is 'well run'.

Would making her banking details available improve or worsen her credit rating?

Thanks

Kevin

I think 'otherwise' is a wrong word here. There is nothing bad in using overdraft within agreed limit. Quite the contrary, this will be a good record in a credit file.

I think this cannot worsen her credit rating, although I am not sure that this will improve it.
