Edinburgh raises the roof of the Lyceum for Keith Jack

Options
From swing to Crocodile Rock with musical theatre in between Keith sang Let Me Entertain You and entertain he certainly did. Not even the loss of his microphone in his first number fazed young Keith, he was singing to his home town and boy did they/we let him know it. The atmosphere was terrific, Keith's singing was outstanding and joined with his accompanist Greg it all made for a great show.

Despite a sloping stage it didn't hamper Keith's nifty foot work both by himself and with the girl dancers. The show is billed as his UK Album Launch Tour and he hits Glasgow on Thursday, so for all the "weegies" out there get along and see him, you won't be disappointed. He is supported by Frances Kemberley and from Inverness Karla Dernardi who were also excellent.

For those that don't know the name Keith Jack, he was runner up to Lee Mead in Any Dream Will Do, Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for a new Joseph. Keith went from the TV show to playing the Narrator in the touring version of Joseph and quite simply stole the show. During the Edinburgh Fringe Festival he played in a thought provoking new production called Only The Brave and in December heads to Aberdeen to star in the panto Peter Pan.

Check out his website for other dates in England http://www.keithjack.com/index2.html and the Edinburgh Evening News are giving a away a 4 track sample of his new album, check the News on Wednesday for the details.

Well done Keith, the boy done good :j

  • Forgot to say that Keith finished with You Raise Me Up and he "raised" the entire audience to its feet, should have taken my 1p glow sticks from Tescos to wave :)
  • Thanks Edinburghlass for review of Keith Jack's 'BIG NIGHT' and so glad that everything was fantastic....even with the mic problem....

Keith has a fantastic voice and with what he has been doing since ADWD he has improved so much.....in every way.......he has been like a sponge that absorbs everything......I am going to see him on Tour in Birmingham later in month.....can't wait....also he is such a nice person to talk to and has time for his fans too.

Also please note that Keith's new CD is called THIS TIME and believe me it is well worth listening too.....he sounds amazing....also Keith co-wrote several of the tracks.....I was lucky enough to have named Keith's first album....:j

Keith is due to appear on BBC Breakfast on Wednesday and also appearing on Songs of Praise sometime in November.....

oops sorry about that stormbreaker, I did mean to put up a thread about the show last week, your Mum would have enjoyed it.

Review from the Edinburgh Evening News, would have been nice to have seen more stars there but a fair review.

Unfortunatly I have been at work and missed your post. I did see flyers outside newsagents , something about 'FREE Keith Jack CD' with the Evening News. Might be worth a wee lookie!

Keith is on at the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh on Saturday 10th October at 7.30 pm.

I understood the tickets were only on sale at the Brunton Theatre but tonight discovered they are also available online, not many left now.
