BTLers cashing in on NR customers pain.

Thats fine I just thought I would post it up though as it gave some idea on how the goverment have stuffed lots of NR customers and who was taking advantage of the drops.
I suppose if they have the cash it could be a good time for them but I don't know.
Edit: from what I gather these are cash rich people not 10/20% deposits.
You can keep it. At this stage, in almost all instances, the buyers of your "good value" will see continue to incur heavy losses at capital values fall and fall. BTL vulture funds lol. Most BTL merchants are going to get the financial kicking they deserve. Some others may get out at 80 percent, 50 percent or 30 percent of peak value. In each case, sellers are simply transforming the remaining future value losses to someone else. In a bear market, the vast, vast majority does nothing and gets stuck holding assets with low or non-existent valuations.0 -

These are your old type landlords like the ones who own half of towns etc not the ones who own a couple as they thought it was a good idea.
Just giving insight from ground zero.
I never said they were good value just letting people know who are buying and we all know it aint FTBers
Judging by your last quote you will presumably never buy an asset then?

- Thank you Realy, and I accept your insight probably reflects what is currently occurring here and there.
- Not any time in the near future. Is anyone really expecting house prices to stabilise and then surge, when the is clearly so much negative risk yet to play out. Patience. Let the market come to you.0 -

I Agree, but in some areas like mentioned there are now a few propertys (repos) that are cheaper to mortgage than rent.
More will come available for sure, just I think the long term investors are taking advantage of lack of compertition at the moment, as no FTB can get a mortgage without 10% deposit.
In the areas these are selling (not great areas) it is difficult for the target buyer to save 10%.0
