Ticketmaster query

Is it legal for ticketmaster to say gift cards have a 12 month expiry on them? Been looking to book something for Christmas, but contually the first seat that came up for a range of dates was in the same position - 2/3 the way from the front, same row, same seat number - so I decided to wait a bit to see if they would start filling seats nearer the front
Come to book today, and they say the card has expired. Now I know it says this on the back, but is it legal? Trouble is they weren't paid for (they were a prize) otherwise we'd try and do a chargeback.

Yes its legal and its people like you who abuse chargebacks that mean genuine cases wait longer or have claims badly dealt with0 -
I take offense to that comment as I have never had the need to do a chargeback in my life yet. If there are grounds for chargeback in the future, then I would do so. Why should I be out of pocket?LinasPilibaitisisbatman wrote: »Yes its legal and its people like you who abuse chargebacks that mean genuine cases wait longer or have claims badly dealt with0 -
I would be interested to know if you had a ny success as we have a gift card for ticketmaster that has passed the 12 month expirey. Sainsbuyrys certainly didnt advise the T&C's when they sold it. I feel totally conned.
