obtaining copy of credit agreement

I recently asked a debt collection agency to supply me with a copy of the original credit agreement for the debt they are pursing (NatWest Credit card). I enclosed the appropriate fee. However I have heard nothing form them despite the fact they cashed in the cheque some time ago. Am I right in thinking they are legally obliged to send it to me within 12 days? What action can I take against them if they dont?

I think they have something like 20-30 days.MFWB
Mortgage when started: £232,000
Current mortgage Sept 2024: £232,000
Mortgage free day: Sept 2029
Saving: £12k 20250 -
It's 12 working days.
However, I'm a bit hazy on this process and how useful it is. Don't you have to request the agreement from the original lender?0 -
You can do wither, if you request it via the debt collector they can charge, whereas usually the original loan company will give you a copy free.
Good luck, I think you will struggle to get a copy from anyone in my experience! There are many paths to tread to find true financial enlightenment, some of them are clear of obstacles, others have huge piles of doggie DooDoo in them in which one can easily tread. The journey is not made easier by the fact that the financial institutions blind fold us before we set out on our route.
