Question regarding crapquest

Ages ago now I posted regarding letters recieved from capquest. I followed the advice given posted off my letter to tell them to sod off (the debt was statute barred) and recieved a reply saying the debt was "on hold" while they obtain info from the catalogue company involved.. I thought this was quite funny and put it out of my mind.
Every now and again now im getting a letter saying that the debt is still on hold while they attempt to get the info which is making me wonder are they attempting to trick me into getting me to contact them regarding the debt and so breaking the statute barred status? If I recieve another one should I start looking into the harrassment angle??
I'm no longer worried about this as I really feel they are just fishing and it doesn't take this long to get "information"

PS this forum is brilliant and I have genuinely saved so much money as well as starting to put a stop to my credit and debt and paying things off. It's the best way!
