Hi there
I am very very disappointed by the negligence of one of the high street banks. As this bank sentout the confidential data of one of its client to me. Infact this information was sent to this bank by a client explaining his/her medical condition with clients full name, partner's name and information on medical reports etc.
I am sure this client will be furious once s/he know that the confidentiality promise has been breached and I would be same if it was my information sent to some one else.
How shall I go about it,this got to be stopped and punished.
Regards:eek:

Ring Bank, ask for what steps they would take in future to stop this happen again.I would ring the bank, tell them what happened, and tell them that you will put the documents in a new envelope and drop them into the nearest branch to be dealt with. I do not think you are entitled to compensation in any way, shape or form.0

Yes, send it back to the bank per MothaballsWallet. These things do happen and it is wrong, of course, it is. But I think you're over-reacting a bit. It also happened to me, and there's nothing much you can do about it. It's not on the same scale as MI5 losing data, or the NHS or anything, is it.

In terms of the DPA the bank have commited a criminal offence and could be fined for it. That said everyone makes mistakes. I would definitely contact the bank and probably get in contact with whoever is in charge of their data protection compliance.0
