Money-Off Coupons at ASDA....

I have posted this on Shop But Don't Drop too, but thought it might be important to all my OS friends who are trying to make their money stretch through the month, and I know not everyone has time to check all the boards (I'm doing my college work at the moment - honest I am - just 5 more minutes on MSE......LOL!).

I usually use a couple of money-off coupons every week at ASDA but
according to a very pleasant cashier at my local ASDA, their company policy re Money Off Coupons changed yesterday (Sat) - the staff were apparantly all shown a memo she told me - they now will not accept manufacturers money-off coupons if you do not buy the product (this has always been the case for their own issued coupons, but now it applies to all coupons).

The cashier told me she'd already had several annoyed customers and had to call the manager to explain the new policy. Herself, she said she thinks it is unfair and stupid, but she said they were told any staff who are found to ignore the rules will be disciplined and even sacked!

Just thought I'd let you all know.
