John Lewis delivery to NI

Has anyone bought from John Lewis online for delivery to NI?

Are there any surcharges etc. and can you do "price match" for online delivery?

Thinking of a new LCD tv and their 5 year warranty is attractive.
Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I've used them before p&p was the same for all UK, Large goods may be different. If you go to checkout with your goods in basket it will quote you the price

I used them to buy a printer no extra p&p for NI, I had to return it because of a problem with it, again sorted without fuss.

we bought a cross trainer from Jghn Lewis, it did take a bit longer than stated on the order, and it came by bondelivery couriers. but no extra costs, which was good

Looks like there is no extra charge but has anyone "price matched" yet?

  • given what others charge for P&P to NI, I'm just really grateful JL don't charge a thing for non-bulky items, so no, i've not done the 'price match'

JL will only price match locally within their stores:o

Which is only fair I suppose:cool: If the planning service got off their asses, grew a set of balls and gave them permission for Sprucefield we would all be laughing;)

Remember to account for the 5 year warranty when buying the tv;) JL are more expensive for most LCD's but the warranty is worth in most times;)

Oh and I got my new cooker from them, cheaper than any shop in Norn Iron and extra years warranty for nothing and delivered free to my house within a week. A certain well known retailer in Strabane who claims to match and beat any price had the same cooker for £40 more, would not price match and was looking a tenner to deliver it 14 miles for me, the sooner the internet kills this type of retailer the better is what I say;)
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

But what about the poor retailers in the middle of Lisburn? The JL store will kill their business. No actually, charging people to park on the street will do that. Moneygrabbers. I'll take the free parking and the better shops thanks.

They are gonna have to move with the times I'm afraid;)

Overcharging for rubbish products just because your buying locally is a thing of the past, the sooner it ends the better;)

P.S. Good to see you off your death bed Johnny;)
