I'm just back from a fundraiser and got the joy of counting up the money. Raised £400 which is good considering it was £1 entry to an 8 hr live musicathon! Personally think it should have been more!
I won a month's free gym membership in the raffle which is quite funny cos I am the most un-exercise person on this planet. Debating whether to use it myself or donate to someone who will use it to it's max! Waiting to hear if I won a cruise at another fundraising event I visited this morning - somehow I doubt!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

my ears are ringing! some of the bands were brilliant, some not so great. they were all local bands and gave their time for free which I think is very generous considering most of them could have been out doing paid gigs this evening.
not sure how i would go about auctioning off the gym pass, maybe i am just being lazy. i fear that if i were to do that then it wouldn't raise much money and i would prefer to give it to someone who would benefit but perhaps wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise. or maybe it is a sign that i need to get off my lardy bum and do some exercise... decisions decisions!
i certainly wouldn't be having this conversation with myself if i had won the cruise!!! although saying that, it is in a fortnight's time and not sure i could get time off work - why am i even thinking about it?! i have had my bit of luck for today and hopefully the winner will be someone who can go on the given dates and will benefit from a free holiday! ramble ramble!!!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water?
