    BORED - thanks for the lovely northern welcome, but i am a defecter.....was born in east london ( bought up in west)...gorgeous up here though(in staffs) !! wales on one side the peak district on the other....you dont get that where i was brought / dragged up ;)

    Not a million miles away from me then, I'm somewhat regrettably back in North Wales again after 9 great years in Cambridgeshire :( but have to be where the work is in my field..

    IF you had a decent job and the time and money to see the good bits and avoid the bad bits...trouble is there are very few if any (and certainly not in my field) decent jobs in the good bits (they're the sparsely-populated bits generally)..sad but true

    There are some nice bits and you can always escape back again one day. I like to go to Chester some times.

    i spose so Gunjack......my ultimate dream is to buy a house in scotland and live the good life ( we rent at the mo' and i know about the scottish system)... my 'rented' garden is a mess....the neighbour has a huge tree that the council wont cut down even though birds c**p in his small garden and mine...i want to be felicicty kendall for christs sake...
