american football....proper stuff, helmets and all...really enjoyed it and was good at it too...then some rookie from Barnsley got p1ssed that I kept beating him and he got me with a cheap shot after the ball was dead and my back was turned

That sounds rather painful!!!!!!! American Football - interesting, never really understood it myself. I however stick to the less aggressive sports like Kickboxing!!!!

Easiest way to read this thread is to mentally file everyone in it, then monitor all their posts and insert them into the correct place chronologically, cross-referenced by mental state, average mental divergence, typical amount of pasta eaten in a week and - this point is crucial - the number of happy memories you have of Grange Hill divided by the number of unhappy memories of Songs of Praise.

Once you do this, you'll have no problem following the various threads

And if THAT doesnt do it ....... Nothing will :rotfl: :rotfl:

done a bit of kb early last year....good fun, but when you can't kick with one leg, and can't really stand on it to kick with the other leg.. I'm hoping it gets good enough to try again later this year..Russ Williams (former world champ) hails from these parts and he's got a gym in town.

How cool!!! I love it. Am currently a brown belt but have had to stop my black belt training as it was an expense I couldn't afford. :( Still use the punch bag tho (when there's no one else around) lol:rotfl:

think that's where it scores over many martial arts in my book....sod gradings, formalities and the like...just go and beat the heck out of something (but in a controlled, structured way, obviously)

...and on that note, I'll bid you all a  g'night :) still got to get up early to get the kids up for school...but as I 've got physio I get a lie-in 'till 07:00 yay !! :)

    have a great "rest-of-the-night" gang...catch ya's again soon :)
