    hi everyone, take a deep breath cos youll need it!
    ready? here goes.....oh my speling may not be to good as ive got a stupid keyboard which doesnt work properly!!! right here goes..
    whats it caled when you have your lightbulb moment, but it doesnt scare you even though your about £17000 in debt, you just rely on geting overtime to pay it?
    the answer...a mans perspective
    ive just done my OH soa as hes got no overtime now so he cant aford his debts any more
    when i started on here i kept tuting when he kept spending but couldnt make him see that he neded to curb it, now he does but isnt bothered
    id be soooo woried! scrap that i am woried!
    are the bailifs gona come?
    he is going to try pay some back but with only £60 left over at the end o the month its not lokin good
    I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

    Have you done Martin's budget with the calculator? https://www.whatsthecost.com
    Also have you had a look at the give yourself a 25% payrise thread as well?
    Then there is the up your income thread..lots of things you can do such as Mystery shopping maybe combine when doing your own shopping.
    Check out absolutely everything you may be entitled to, if hubbys wage has gone down you maybe entitled to extra family tax credits.
    Are you doing the grocery challenge? Look on the feed your family for £20 thread on Oldstyle.
    Claim back creditcard charges etc.
    Anything else i can help with i will, we are all going through hard times and if we can't help each other then who can we help?

    i do see where we could cut back a bit more, thanks i have been for the last 3 years or so its just oh doesnt know how to stop geting stuf on credit!!
    i know youve made LOADS of sacrifices for your hubby but i dont want to put myself even more out, that sounds harsh but why should i be doing even more hardwork when he cant stop spending
    wel hopefuly he wil now and obviously i wil cut back even more its just the uncertainty wil they come banging down the dors for our stuf

  • I know what you mean hun, it is a terrible worry when more is going out than coming in. Mr.B is of a similar ilk..live now and pay tomorrow! Really fooks me off i can tell you. If i buy something i want to know it can be paid for if that makes sense? I did that when ii bought my car, but then the rest is history and no point keep booting myself over it all.
    I am very tight over the budget and very rarely dib in the joint account he can not spend more than is in there now, and i understand about you working extra..so i know where you are coming from with that one.

    Trouble is i am a sucker after all these years of marriage so will have to plod on..which is why i am on a challenge to help clear up this mess he is in..but i am clearing my stuff first.!!
