Southern Water are Rubbish!!!!

Hiya.

Sorry I'm not sure if I have posted this in the right place.

I'm so stressed because Southern Water have yet again threatened me with Court action. AGAIN!!!

The story started when I got my flat... I didn't move in straight away but got a massive bill from Southern Water and it took 3 months and loads of phone calls to tell them I'm not paying because I don't live there and not used the water etc... and then paid the service charge. I then got my next bill in May and I looked at the meter because I'm not going to pay for what I've not used and they sent me a massive bill!!! Anyway it turns out the meter is broken they managed to work this out back in July. Since then I have had 3 red letters, a letter from Morecroft Debt Collection, a letter from their solicitors office and finally this morning I've had a final reminder and again threatening Court action. Each time I get a letter I phone and tell them the situation etc and that my account is on hold and I can prove it because I have a letter etc and I have told them that I didn't actually move in until February and when I said this the woman on the phone got so stressed.

What can I do about this. Unfortunately I cannot change my water supplier but southern water couldn't run a pi55 up in a brewery!!!

Anyone got any advise?

Thanks

Mich x

Is there a water ombudsman. Isn't that what Ofwat is? I would complain to them. I would also look up the ceo of southern on the companies house website and complain direct to him, detailing the whole thing. Sometimes that will sort it
