Craft Fairs??

You might consider contacting your council's arts officer for a list of arts/crafts events and outlets for your work!
PS: If you're thinking of developing a home business in card making (and why not?! - good on you!), contact your local business enterprise office/council's local business support/local entrepreneurial support office for advice on how to promote yourself, tips, tricks and pitfalls! You may well be eligible for help to develop a business plan which could have very positive knock on effect when/if you seek backing or funding. They'll also help you review your business/concept and might use a SWOT-type analysis.
Finally: network, network, network - the real deal networking, not the useless "hosted" (you have to pay to attend) get-together-for-a-blether and walk away with nowt - develop/maximise your own gift of the gabStill waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:

Hi,
I am not sure if I have posted this in the right place but I was wondering if anyone knew of any craft or Christmas fairs in the Glasgow/Motherwell/Lanarkshire area??
I am looking for somewhere to sell my handmade Christmas cards.
Thanks

If you are only starting out, a good place is schools and clubs in your area. They usually run Christmas shopping fairs for fundraising.
Now is the time that they are all starting.
Our first one of the year is on Monday, with a further 7 throughout the month, no more than 5 miles from home.
Check your local council website and give some schools a phone, or if the schools have a website, it may list contact details for PTA members. Same with Scouts/Brownies etc.
Usually costs about £10 or 10% of profit on night - some ask for raffle donation also
Good luck!0 -
Hi, have you contacted your local library?
Our library in Wishaw rents you a table in the foyer for £10. Im booked in for 2 days.
No two crafts are allowed on the same dates, so you have the monopoly that day.
Where else can you wear your santa hat & tinsel and have fun?! Works for me.0 -
