Price compare labels

Is it just me who gets annoyed at all these labels on the shelves like, by the heinz spagettii hoops our price 58p tescos price 58p?
Surely if they saved the money on these stupid labels they could sell them for 5p cheaper :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

It annoys me so much. Why do I care how much it is in tesco I'm in bleeping asda:mad::mad:

The money it must cost them to make these labels and who's paying? we are.

yes they don't do it though when their items are more expensive than their competitors though do they?

and like you say, if it's 58p in Tesco and 58p in asda and you're in asda, why bother telling you anyway?

on a more serious note though, it's all to do with competition law, they aren't allowed to undercut each other on prices so that's why they do different 'promotions' on things all the time but most of the general day to day stuff we buy costs the same in any of the supermarkets
