We did order the £30 TV from Asda, but they didn t take the cash from my CC before working out their mistake and cancelling the orders, and so lost out on the refunds made later.
Mt dd is at uni without a TV. She has asked me to find an LCD with Freeview and possibly a dvd.
Anybody know of any good deals at the moment?
I saw Littlewoods were offering a free one, however, people have been charged for it since as the code wasn;t sent to them!!

Hi,
I picked up this telly from Argos a month ago. It has freeview and a dvd player and works fine for a bedroom telly. It's on for £159.99 which is a fiver less than I paid! Grrr!

Consider getting a separate DVD player as the integrated ones are quite basic and cannot play different formats such as divx etc.0

I noticed a small one yesterday in Asda 'Living', at £95; sorry, didn't take note of the details, but I think it was maybe 15".
Just had a look at their on-line offers, & it's not there, so may be in-store only - whether only in the 'Living' stores I don't know.
Sorry I can't be more helpful but it may be worth your checking it out?0 -
my local netto had some reduced lcd tvs yesterday. there was a 15" lcd tv with built in dvd at £86. not sure if it had freeview tho0

When my son was in halls, they didn't have a tv, there was something about the licence? He just watched dvd's on his pc which he said was far less distracting!
This is a good site for info/prices etc:

If you've access to Makro, the new makromail offers, starting Weds. 8th, include a UMC 19" with freeview, HD, LCD, multi-format playback DVD, scart socket, HDMI, for £119.99 ex VAT, making it £140.99 for quite a good size.
