Ways to Make £50-£70 a week

Hi Guys,

I've done pretty well with investments over the years and earn enough interest from them to cover my monthly bills.
But I work part-time in a low paid job so I have money to spend on things/going out so I don't have to eat into my savings.
I would love to quit the job but wouldn't qualify for any government benefit.
I reckon I only need to make £50-70 a week from other sources to be able to quit my crap job.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

Have you thought about doing any kind of party plan? You could easily earn this without doing many hours and working only when you want to. And have some fun at the same time! Depends what sort of things you're into..... there's quite a bit out there.

I'm a mum with a 3 year old and another baby on the way, so wanted to do something to fit around my family life and commitments. I sell Usborne Books and absolutely love it! There's another thread on here somewhere with lots of other ideas too from greetings cards to cosmetics to candles.....

    Good luck in your search!

if you can afford to pay the bills from your investments.. then do something you love to do.. You can make money from this also... You really can..

Even if you don't think you can make every effort to.. Whether you need to go to college , training course etc.

once the bills are covered then follow your passion.

Try a google search on a company called Lionbridge, they are always looking for homebased internet users, although I didnt pass the second part of the exam (this will become clear when you read about the job) my friend did and she earns roughly £400 per month from them although this is variable - good luck.

This thread has taken a rather bizarre theme. However...............
If you want to make around £50-£70, this is what I do (amongst other things).

Ironing - I do the ironing from a local launderette, set aside an afternoon for it and make around £20 per hour.

Home boarding for dogs - Some ( a lot) of people don't like leaving their dogs in kennels so, I home board them. You can charge about £15 per day, the owners provide the dogs' food and bedding/toys etc. Great if you love dogs!

Hope this gves you some ideas. I do other stuff too but I'm not allowed to publicise these on this forum. All in all, I do OK, from various income streams.

    Hi Dopple

I can reccomend the party plan route. I work for The Body Shop At Home (see other thread if you're interested) and I make a good £40-£60 per party, that's a couple of hours for the party and another hour to sort out my kit to get ready for the next one and enter the orders online. You can do as many or as few parties as you like and should easily manage £50-£70 weekly if you want to.

I have also worked as a domestic cleaner and don't reccomend it. I earned at least £70 per week but because of all the travel time I felt like I was working a full time job for a part time wage.

I'll agree with what others have said about following your passion though, if you can earn a bit doing what you love then go for it. What do you like doing? What has been your favourite ever job? or what has been your longest standing hobby?

    Sorry for the essay

What kind of work is Lionbridge offering? Also can you please be kind enough to give a link to their site?
    Thanks.

Lionbridge do lots of work for Google, its called website rating, basically you view a website and then rate its relevance to the original query, you get lots of paperwork explaining this in detail then they ask you to complete a 2 part test, the first part sees if you can grasp the idea of rating and asks questions relating to the paperwork you would have dowloaded to make sure you have read it and understand it, the second part gives you about 500 tasks to rate in a certain amount of time, if you reach this part take your time, I rushed it and failed the second part. Sorry not sure how to do links, just google them, the uk branch is based in Ireland. Good luck.
