Saturday 4/10/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Hi to any new posters and a big shout to the usual gang:j
Today I will:
Off to town to meet up with a friend and have lunch, hopefully won't be spending much money.;)

Morning Sophiesmum - you are up early on this blustery autumnal day!!
Today I shall try and be productive, OH off ferry later, so need to get the chores out the way to have fun later. Out for dinner later his treat
So today
Checked bank egg site is down for my other accounts prob in shock cos I gave them lots of cash
Updated signature - go me just shifted debt from interest to non interest but now its more realistic to pay it off:)
Fly round the house like a loony doing some cleaning and (still unpacking) sort some of my room
Harrass kids to fill up logs etc from garden stocks
Make a pavlova or something nice with rasps from freezer
Tidy up desk in office
Think about sterilising seed trays to sow lots of baby seeds for selling on ebay/farmers market in springtime
Do some writing
Think about claiming ppi's and bank charges not done this yet:(
DS nearly saved his whole share of bike money, think of inventive chores to spur him along he only needs about £9 (he has saved/worked for £81 in 9 weeks - pretty good going)
Pick up bail of hay for chooks from work
Pick up free wood from farm before its gone
Pick up some grain from farm for chookies (they said I could)
Do all 3 of these whilst doing before work job
Meal planner - still not managed one, so will do that now!!
Good day to everyone else, have fun at lunch sophie, its great to be thinking that my mountains of debt are still there but somones come in with a JCB and flattened them slightly - easier to plod away through.......
PS Mr Tescos last night, DD had pal for sleepover so we went for weekly shop and a couple 'treats' - instead of the ben and jerries (look at the price mum) they opted for a plain ice-cream and ben&jerrified it at home (adding marshmallows (essential for sleepovers), chocolate and honey in a big bowl stirred the lot together) I was very impressed - She might be twelve but shes a money saver in the making!!!!!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
