Jeez, I'm so cold that I was tempted to put the central heating on (or the gas fire) until I remembered the thermal long-johns and tops we bought when went to Krakow and Prague in January a couple of years ago!

I'm now getting quite toasty with my socks, thermal long-johns, brushed cotton trousers (they are getting really tight so think after October I'll have to buy something else to wear), sports bra, thermal under-top, and thermal fleece. Now if only I could find the gloves and hat I'll be set!

Oh, forgot to say that yesterday, after hunting high and low for a coat that will see me and my increasing bump past winter (without having to spend £100 on a maternity coat) I found a Wool M&S coat in the RSPCA shop for £11, so I bought it and took it to the dry cleaners (I'm picking it up today) I've bagged myselft a nice new long wool winter coat for less than £20!

You would have laughed your socks off if you'd seen me trying the coat on. I put a football in front of my belly and fastened the coat - plenty of room. I put a beach ball there and it was a bit of squeeze but I managed to fasten the coat and I reckon I'll not be a beach ball size until March and by then the weather will be warming up so I'll not need a coat (or I can get away with a big jumper / cardigan and leave the coat undone!!!:o
