I posted my situation last week. This post is just a little update to say that today i hve been excepted for the british airways amex card 4.9% life of balance rate. I asked for an £8000 balnce transfer, i will find out soon whether thats been accepted or not, will transfer even more if my credit limit allows.
Will be cancelling some cards soon thx to this:j

Good news! Any opportunity to get the debt onto a lower interest rate will only help you pay it off faster. Just make sure you cancel the empty cards so there's no temptation to put more debt back on them....
