Bulk buying wholewheat pasta

Firstly im unsure if this is the right room to be posting in so apologies if its not, it does seem quite grocery orientated though.
Heres my problem, I like pasta alot, I usually eat it 3 times a week on average, a former girlfriend convinced me that wholewheat pasta was the best type from a health viewpoint so i started buying that instead but unfortunately it doesnt seem to be available in the large quantities that regular pasta is sold in at my local supermarket. Im having to buy a small bag each week and wondered whether anywhere sold it in a large quantity which would hopefully work out much cheaper.
Thanks

I've no idea, but if you define "large quantity" and say which town you're in, people might be able to be more specific than a general reply.
If it were me I'd be looking for any wholesale hippy outlets and I'd look at orderiing online.0 -
How about home made? You need a pasta maker - often in charity shops/car boot sales. 650g of white flour and half a dozen egggs makes enough for us (four adults and two teens). For wholewheat, you'd probably need less flour. I think it would easily keep in the fridge for a few days or longer if you dry it.0

If you do find it somewhere cheap, please come back and let us know where. I'm still using up the H-U-G-E stock I got from Asda last year, but it's nearly finished now.
Edit; forgot to say, I bought it when asda were doing four 500g packs for a £1. The cheapest I've seen it recently is about £1.50 a kg.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -

Sainsbury`s do quite a good range of wholewheat pasta - cant remember the cost but it one of the few places that reliably stock it. HTH0

I have sent an e-mail to Sainsburys requesting that they start stocking 3kg bags of the wholewheat pasta, which they already do for the ordinary pasta. The more people that e-mail and request this, the more likely that it will happen! :cool:0
